Newsletter

Hello!
Thanks for taking a moment to learn more about my free monthly newsletter, Notes on Writing Folklore-Inspired Fiction. My newsletter explores a variety of folklore topics and provides a behind-the-scenes look at my writing life. I also share personal updates and photos about what I’ve been up to, my family life, and nature walks I take.

Are you interested in British and Celtic folklore? Some months I explore a specific folklore topic like four-leaf clovers, dragons, the afanc, or changelings. Other months I enjoy researching and writing about broader areas of interest, such as:
- folklore in literature and art
- nature and folklore
- folktales as a reflection of both folklore and society
- using folklore and folktales as inspiration for creative writing
I particularly love Welsh and faerie folklore and often look to these areas for topic inspiration as well.
Why subscribe to my newsletter?
If you’ve looked around my website, you may have noticed that I also have a folklore blog. Those posts come from the folklore section of my newsletter, and I add them to the blog after my newsletter mails out.
When you subscribe to the newsletter, it delivers those monthly folklore topics, plus personal and writing updates straight to your inbox. If you enjoy reading folklore-inspired fiction or nonfiction, then please subscribe. I’d love to have you join my newsletter community!
